Discovery - Christian Horner runs Rage Motorsport...

23.11.2014 - After Rage's reaction to the latest F3 Oceania Race, our management now believe that their team must be headed by Christian Horner.

"They are twisting the facts to try and absolve themselves from any blame from their mistakes. First Keolman made a perfectly reasonable attempt to pass Knight, got in front and looked to have competed the move until Knight took an aggressive line that was almost always going to cause a collision. This is far away from the 'half assed attempt' they mention."

"Then onto our collision, it was nowhere near the 'desperate lunge' that they describe. After some strong defensive driving from Bennett, Headington decided to play the patient game, study Bennett's lines, look after the tyres and try and set up a move. So the move was calculated. However on the Hamilton Street Circuit, no move is risk free. So unfortunately the combination of Bennett giving very little room (which is his right) and a mistake on the brakes by Headington caused the incident. So we accept that we were more at fault on this occasion.

"However, after the coming together we were still 1st and 2nd. To claim that 'Headington came out unscathed' is just wrong. The accident caused more damage to our car than theirs and we had to nurse our car home. But while we knew that pitting would only lose us places, Rage decided to pit Bennett. So while our collision cost Benett a possible win (which considering how much faster Headington was going, this was far from guaranteed), it was the pit stop that made him lose 9 places from 2nd to 11th."

"This is why we believe that somewhere behind the scenes, Christian Horner must be the mastermind behind this new outfit as this would explain perfectly why they are making fancyful excuses for their mistakes."

Whether this press release is a good idea remains to be seen. Headington could now have three Rage racers giving him no quarter for the rest of the season...
