Q: After being accepted into the F3 Oceania Series, what are your thoughts on the new season?

A: We are quite optimistic about our chances this year. Yes, it is a big jump from the three rookie races we have taken part in but looking at our single race results, we felt that this series gives the best competition to prestige ratio on offer. We have set ourselves some ambitious targets and feel we can achieve them.

Q: So what are these targets?

A: In the short term, we want to be finishing consistently between 7th and 13th in our series races. We may be ranked a lowly 20th; however, we believe that we are faster than our ranking suggests, from our experience in single and custom series races. Just look at our last qualification in Australia (Adelaide). By rank we should have qualified and finished 19th instead of the 4th places we got in each. This may have been one of our better races, but it gives the general pattern. Our other aims include:

- increasing our ranking points to 500,000 this season
- finishing in the top 12 in our series (overall)
- breaking even on our weekly costs
- getting as much data from as many tracks as possible.
- increase testing of different settings

Q: Do you have any concerns about next season?

A: There are two main things which bother us. The first is "have we underestimated our competition?" If we consistently finish in the bottom 15 places, it will be a disaster for us.

Our other main concern is reliability. We have replaced our renault engines with volvo engines and are unsure about how we should adjust for the difference in reliability.

Q: When asked about targets, you only talked about them in the short term. Do you have any long term targets?

A: Yes, we are always thinking for the future.

Q: And what are some of these targets?

A: We feel that, considering we have the most managers in the game, it is slightly embarrassing that the United Kingdom has not got a single driver in the top 100. We hope that we will change that.

Once we have done this, we want to increase our standing, get into F1 and win it. We know this is incredibly ambitious as there are many very good, more experienced managers with talented young drivers. However, to quote a great sportsman, "It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory."
