Windsor F1 Driver Announced!!

07.05.2014 - Windsor Alliance Racing today break the silence and announce their first driver to put pen to paper on a drive for Season 9. He's the top ranked driver in Hungary and currently Nº 21 in the World... Ödön Ifj. Tök!!! We trust this fast and highly charismatic driver will enjoy great successes at the wheel of a WAR F1 car. 

After lengthy discussions behind the scenes and much deliberation, the WAR board came up with an undisclosed figure for Tök. One we're sure will compliment his significant talent and keep him at the head of the field in seasons to come.

In a recent Q&A. Tök had this to say:

Q. What do you expect from the first F1 season?
 
Ifj.Tök. I think, nobody knows what will happen in this new series, but my opinion is the results will depend very much on the cars, just like in real F1. Because the most of the drivers are very close to each other (in skills), better car will be a huge advantage.

Q. How do you fancy your chances driving a WAR car?

Ifj.Tök. My driver goes good enough this season, he drives very constantly, with no dnf's at last 50 events, and over 75% podium finishes. I'm ready for the job!!! I don't know the car, but I believe WAR members have a good F1 project.

Q. What message can you leave to the WAR fans? 

Ifj.Tök. For the fans...In this game the fans are managers too. Be active on the forums and learn from other managers or help if you can. Being a F1 team member/fan is a great opportunity to improve... And of course, support the team!

Unsurprisingly, Ifj.Tök was sparing on his expectations of a car that is yet to run on track as there is little to no data to suggest where the green machine will stack up against the competition. But fans can rest assured, this British/Portuguese team has a wealth of highly experienced managers working to make this car fast and reliable.
