WilliamsF1 midway marker n:o 2 - The return of the phantom

09.06.2017 - A lot has been going on behind the scenes of team Williams, this season has started like a horrible nightmare but everyone tries to keep calm and focus on turning it to our advantage. Williams has always done better when unnoticed by others and this time its going to be the same as Williams seems to be fighting for 4-6 place for now.

Driver choices:

The team lead had decided to release Yrjö Allas after too long unlucky period. We talked in good understanding and mutual respect about the contract renewal and decided its the best thing for both parties to have a break of each others. Farewell and good luck for Allas in Mercedes.

Team was talking with another Finn Alpo Suhonen to join the team too but things got a surprising turn in the last minutes and decided other way. This will be one of the few times in history when Williams doesnt have Finnish driver at all - so that ends the talk for Williams being only Finnish national team: We sign the best drivers possible to help the team but ofcourse we are proud of our origin.



Arnaud Briand will continue next season hoping to get better season than what his rookie season was last time. He has not really shown anything this season yet but the beginning of this season has been difficult for everyone and we're positive that it'll change next season.

The French wizard will face the toughest challenge so far when he is joined by Russian phantom and team Williams legend Michael Mihaylov. We we're sad when he left us in the first place but the most important thing is he will be back and the car dev is looking great aswell. Mihaylov will have his skills on its peak during 24th season so it will be big season for him and the team. We will be hoping to put enormous challenge for top3 teams next season with our fantastic line up and also hoping both our drivers could get the best result in drivers championship.

Other news are that we are planning to continue the academy, just havent had the time to set it up for this season but stay tuned it will come very soon.
