KIRBY WINS IN CHINA!!!

After a tough weekend last week in Chinese F4, Austen had to regroup. Two 8th place finishes just didn’t cut it but he held on to fifth place in the championship. But going into the next race weekend, he stayed focused.Qualifying went as well as it could go for the American with a 4th place finish. He maximized pace and knew the true pace he has at the moment isn’t at the level of the cars ahead. When we spoke to him he said,” Honestly compared to last weekend I’m a bit relieved. Just ready to get back on the road and score some points.” As the sprint came around, he knew holding position would be tough, but after the checkered flag was raised, he did just that. And with the large downpour coming for the Feature race, a new found confidence arose in the American. As the lights went out he’d gained two positions and would continue to fight until the end, and when the checkered flag would be waved, the FIRST AMERICAN DRIVER TO WIN IN CHINESE F4 would be AUSTEN KIRBY. An interview after that race would be much more than a relieved Kirby as he states,”This is amazing, it’s something I couldn’t have expected coming into this season. I didn’t know the pace I’d have throughout the year and I’d definitely not expected this, but I won’t let it get to my head and we keep pushing. Thank you.”
