Esteban Lozada consiguió la primera victoria para un piloto no portugués en 21 ediciones. El piloto argentino fue suficientemente consistente para batir a sus rivales con una diferencia de 29 puntos. La lucha por el subcampeonato fue una batalla intensa en la que 6 pilotos quedaron en 12 puntos sólo. Clecio Osvaldo Pinto, primer brasileño, fue segundo por delante de Yolanda Carrapatelo (primera portuguesa), Raphael Drummond, Noé Nogueira, Felipe Campolargo y el primer español, Alberto Puig. Jan Bonmatí fue octavo, 8 puntos frente a un triple empate entre el andorrano Àlex Montserrat, Elisabet Alemany y Elías Escalada. La igualdad del campeonato quedó patente en que el piloto con más victorias, Campolargo con 3, fue sexto. Lozada, Pinto, Carrapatelo y Cupertino Jarbas (12º) sumaron 2 y Nogueira, Puig y Joao Carlos Eduardo (15º) sumaron 1. Puig dominó las poles con 4 por 2 de Carrapatelo y una de Escalada. Las vueltas rápidas se repartieron con 2 por Carrapatelo, Drummond, Campolargo, Puig y Jarbas, y una para Lozada, Pinto, Nogueira y Escalada. Subieron al podio Lozada, Pinto, Carrapatelo, Drummond, Nogueira, Campolargo, Puig, Montserrat, Alemany, Jarbas, Álvaro Cobos (13º), Iberé Oiticica (14º) y Eduardo. En la copa de Naciones, Portugal sumó 116 puntos contra los 93 de España y los 91 de Brasil, con Argentina cuarta con 76, Andorra quinta con 58 y Nicaragua (representada por Danilo Isidro, 32º) última con 28 puntos. En cuanto a las marcas, Ford ganó todas las carreras menos una, marcando 136 puntos, Subaru fue subcampeona con 94. Kia fue tercera con 78, tres puntos por delante de Mitsubishi. Cerraron la clasificación Ferrari con 46 y Toyota con 33.
