Tesla Fan Championship - Season 1

24.12.2020 - Invitations have been sent for the first edition of the Tesla Fan Championship, a series that replaces the WAR-FC. Unlike the WAR-FC, this competition runs as a private series exclusive for Tesla Racing Team fans and will run every season around the middle of the season.

We will maintain the 10 race per season format on 10 different tracks with a race format inspired by the single races we used in the WAR-FC up to now. For this first season we opted for the new F4 cars and because of these cars’ novelty, the choice of tracks was done randomly but only tracks without a representative F4 record were chosen, a great opportunity for our fastest drivers to leave their mark!

We maintain 2 competitions, the general standings but also a competition for Under-23 drivers whose criteria is still the same, we use the driver’s age during most of the season, in practice, the driver's age on day 38 of the season. The Under-23 standings will be updated in a spreadsheet that will be made public soon before the start of the competition.

The points system will change, because we will have more drivers per race, we opted for a system that distributes points for more drivers while also still valuing wins and podiums, our choice went for the Nations Cup system. This system distributes points for the 20 first drivers each race and also the top 5 in qualifying, fastest lap, most laps led and a bonus for leading a lap.

Finally, 30 of our drivers, taken from both classes, will be automatically qualified for the Tesla Super Cup which will take place as usual at the end of the season.
