Multiple Drivers Argument

27.01.2019 - From Team SCR, I would believe the best way to go would be to allow managers to own two drivers. I have several ideas that I cover in this press release, so just hear me out here please.

The reasoning would be to firstly, and most importantly, fill in the season series rosters. There could also be a team championship among the two drivers. It would be two separate cars to prepare for each race, which takes time - a possible downside but a righteous one. But, as we can see, the worst case scenario is half of these series are full. That would mean that we can fill up most of if not all of the seats in all the season series by doubling the driver limit.

Yes, this would be a massive server overload at first, but maybe start out as a beta thing. Only superliscense guys or for 50 coins can someone own two drivers, but in different leagues to prevent pay to win tactics. If it proves successful there under the "experimental group" with the server, we could then expand it to everyone. However, I believe the two drivers limit would cease in the Rookie Series, as this is where drivers need to develop as well as managers, which would interfere with ratings. Even if this does not work, there is an alternative.

Allow the drivers to run in multiple season series!!!

This idea would boost up the participation in other series, and would essentially equal the double driver limit, except only one driver would do double duty in these series. I actually think this would be the better idea, as there would be less of a server overhaul and while it may not please the guys on the lower end of the series, the limit would be capped to just two season series, a major series to focus and a minor series to focus on, and the minor series that would be elected would not have that much an effect on driver rating to be fair. Therefore, maybe neither idea goes through, although there should be a solution that we can work out with the devs.

At the end of the day, the goal is to bring in as many players as possible, and in doing that, fill up the remaining empty seats in the series. Because the last thing we need is a bot beating us all in the season series, it'd be an interference!
