El Mundo del Pegaso: Season 60 review

English 11.05.2025 -

Escuderia Pegaso’s fourth place finish in the Formula 1 constructors standings scratches the surface of what the Spanish winged horses accomplished in Season 60. From Alberto Puig and Howard Dewitt finishing sixth and seventh in F1 to the entry level rookies and everything in between, Pegaso had plenty to celebrate across its global racing empire.

IndyCar

Remco Raveel took second place to champion Robert Kubica III, winning six races and collecting 16 top-five finishes along the way. Raveel was the Season 60 winner of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, the Indianapolis 500.

CARS
Spaniard Elisabet Alemany won three places and claimed third place in the 35-and-older series, marking back-to-back season podiums in CARS. The two-time NASC Gold Cup series champion is poised to return to CARS in Season 61.

NASC Gold Cup

Canadian John Cannon was to NASCAR what a pool shark is to a billiards table — he ran it. Cannon won four consecutive races to close the season, the three Round of 8 playoff races at Martinsville, Talladega and Las Vegas, and the championship at Phoenix. It was a dominant close to a first place season for Cannon, who won eight races in total.

Pegaso drivers Esteban Lozada and Spike Lundberg both qualified for the Round of 8, but neither could break through to the final four. The American Lundberg finished fifth in the overall standings, but has yet to win a race in two seasons of Gold Cup racing. Lozada won two races and had 14 top three finishes, but the Argentinian is headed to the world of Formula 1 on a contract with Chevrolet in Season 61.

Deutsche Tourenwagen

“Denmark’s Fastest Man” Simon Rasmussen won three races in the elite German touring series, and led Deutsche ‘Wagen with 20 top five finishes. Rasmussen finished third in the overall points standings behind Slovenian Andrej Vidmar and Richard Rocket of the United Kingdom. Rocket is headed to IndyCar, while Rasmussen is expected to duel with Vidmar for the Duetsche championship in Season 61.

Formula 3 World

Spain’s Alex Barrios had a breakout season, finishing second in the F3 World standings and collecting his second series podium, having previously won the Touring Car Northern Series in S56. Spanish fans are backing Barrios, who returns to F3 in Season 61.

F4 Central Europe

Danish driver Silke Rasmussen, 24, collected the F4 Central European championship, winning 16 races of the 20 on the schedule. Rasmussen won the pole 10 of a possible 10 times, and finished on the podium in all but one of his opportunities. The famed racing Rasmussen family has high hopes for the young driver, who is now a five time F4 series champion.

Pegaso drivers on the American IndyCar ladder

Indy Junior

Pegaso drivers won two of the top four finishing positions, with Canadian James Berg winning second place and Spaniard Carlos Luque taking fourth. Berg won three races on the IndyCar ladder series, while Luque won twice.

U.S. Formula Pro

Nacer Gonza won six races and took a second place finish in the U.S. Formula Pro standings, and is poised to return to the third-tier series on the IndyCar ladder. The 23-year-old Spaniard is a former F4 French series champion who aims to climb his way through the American open wheel ranks.

U.S. Formula Junior

Pegaso congratulates Camilo Rios Jr. for his 14 race victories en route to winning a series championship. It’s the second title for the 22-year-old Spaniard who won the S56 Rookie Series and has been racing in the United States on the IndyCar ladder since S57.

Until next time. “Siempre hacia delante.” Enjoy all that is La Familia Pegaso around the world/todo el mundo in Season 61.

F1 Season 65 Review: Winners and Disappointments
