The changes failed again.

25.08.2026 - To be honest, I’m very glad that the latest changes turned out to be a failure — simply because they didn’t ruin anything. But I’m surprised that people keep asking for more complex F1 rules.

Why make everything more complicated? There are at most 10 people in the game who really understand what needs to be done and how to do it. If everything is made more complicated, the gap between them and everyone else will grow. This won’t increase competition in any way and won’t make the game more interesting. All the recent changes, starting with the addition of driver skills, have completely destroyed any competition. The guys who used to fight for titles and win in F1 are now just at the bottom. The funny thing is that the people who need these changes the least are the ones asking for them.

In F1, there is only one problem — the financial system.

DebiK is introducing a budget limit, but it won’t lead to anything. This is a pointless rule — the teams still don’t stay within the limit. In my opinion, he doesn’t understand one simple truth: no one is interested in building a car every season that will fight for 6th–10th place. Everyone wants to win and will try to build a car that will allow them to compete for the championship, and then they’ll go back to the “tanking” tactic — some to a greater extent, others to a lesser extent, but this happens every time the engine regulations change.

Give teams the opportunity to build a competitive car each season, and then F1 will become interesting, and the motivation of all participants will increase.

In my opinion, there are several ways to improve the situation.

1. The influence of the fan club on sponsors’ offers should be completely eliminated or rendered insignificant. Sponsors’ offers should be influenced by the team’s results and image, which the teams spend money on. The fan club should only bring activity points.

2. Increase the limit on the number of shareholders who can be used in the team from 10 to 15; this will allow teams to save 200K–250K per week.

3. Instead of introducing a budget limit, we need to introduce a limit on spending on key components. The production cost of the chassis, energy storage, and transmission should be fixed. Teams should spend no more than 32 million on engine production, with the most expensive component not being more than 3 million more expensive than the cheapest one. Additionally, a ban should be introduced on updating all of the listed vehicle components.

4. Team leaders need to start talking and reaching agreements. There is a special chat on the F1 page where we should put forward proposals, discuss them, and arrive at a common position through voting, which we will then convey to Debik. And any changes should be made only based on the majority opinion. We should have the right to vote, but only as a united front.
