F1 drivers S17 analysis
17.02.2016
-
Here's a deep analysis of all F1 drivers in this season rated by total number of skills relevant to F1 racing summed up by importance (5x for mental and driving, 3x for technical and 1x for physical). Personal skills are added in brackets. Didn't add the special skills because virtually no one lost time training them and they're worthless for F1 so it's pretty redundant to count them in.Also included a nice hex-graph fm style with the general skills of each driver, always liked those better than bars, and some other interesting info such as trained skills which assumes the driver started his/her career at the age of 18yo hence starting with 1040 skills already (counting specials and personal skills as well as the 90 free skill points). This is nothing more than an estimate though since each general skill can have up to 5 specific skills the trained skills value may vary +/-7. Keep in mind drivers start to lose skills at the age of 33, which means some drivers actually got more trained skills than the presented. 1) Paolo Grandi (Mercedes): 1377 (1677) ![]() Age: 34 Rating: 5,287.749 (5,150.602+137.147) WR: 6 NR: 1 Trained skills: 737 Manager: Braveheart 2) Guido Di Rado (McLaren): 1351 (1651) ![]() Age: 30 Rating: 4,806.438 (4,670.213+136.225) WR: 10 NR: 2 Trained skills: 711 Manager: danpic 3) Rocco Rapido (McLaren): 1321 (1621) ![]() Age: 29 Rating: 6,215.692 (6,073.646+142.046) WR: 2 NR: 1 Trained skills: 681 Manager: Invictus 4) Alex Botta (OMR): 1302 (1572) ![]() Age: 34 Rating: 4,326.927 (4,213.998+112.930) WR: 17 NR: 3 Trained skills: 632 Manager: sandrez 5) Damon Michael Novikov (Jordan): 1295 (1595) ![]() Age: 27 Rating: 5,906.842 (5,785.981+120.861) WR: 3 NR: 1 Trained skills: 655 Manager: Somebodystopme 6) Stanisław Bum (Mercedes): 1280 (1538) ![]() Age: 34 Rating: 4,293.125 (4,188.056+105.070) WR: 19 NR: 3 Trained skills: 598 Manager: Wokinger (retired) 7) Pentti Lund (Williams): 1270 (1570) ![]() Age: 29 Rating: 3,881.915 (3,791.644+90.272) WR: 32 NR: 1 Trained skills: 630 Manager: Gorilla 8) Sándor Torghelle (Williams): 1260 (1533) ![]() Age: 28 Rating: 4,272.838 (4,166.064+106.774) WR: 20 NR: 1 Trained skills: 593 Manager: iceman88 9) Dominik Dán (Ferrari): 1255 (1543) ![]() Age: 34 Rating: 1,757.792 (1,680.444+77.348) WR: 182 NR: 6 Trained skills: 653 Manager: Debik 10) Sergey Osmolovsky (BMW): 1251 (1536) ![]() Age: 31 Rating: 3,370.902 (3,260.802+110.100) WR: 46 NR: 1 Trained skills: 596 Manager: Wasp76 11) Сергей Калинин, Sergey Kalinin (BMW): 1238 (1538) ![]() Age: 28 Rating: 4,943.740 (4,835.770+107.970) WR: 9 NR: 2 Trained skills: 598 Manager: Sergun43 12) Олег Петров, Oleg Petrov (Toro Rosso): 1226 (1493) ![]() Age: 31 Rating: 2,904.602 (2,809.176+95.426) WR: 88 NR: 12 Trained skills: 553 Manager: XvitekX 13) Romain Louis Grosjean Jr (RBR): 1218 (1509) ![]() Age: 27 Rating: 6,426.593 (6,308.920+117.673) WR: 1 NR: 1 Trained skills: 569 Manager: SatF1 14) José Pedro Lamy (OMR): 1215 (1512) ![]() Age: 27 Rating: 4,740.736 (4,646.736+94.000) WR: 13 NR: 2 Trained skills: 572 Manager: Blazefp 15) Marcin Lupa (SSR): 1203 (1443) ![]() Age: 33 Rating: 3,587.248 (3,503.322+83.926) WR: 41 NR: 6 Trained skills: 503 Manager: iLupa 16) Maximus Vanderpuije (WAR): 1171 (1447) ![]() Age: 27 Rating: 2,418.648 (2,318.538+100.109) WR: 128 NR: 2 Trained skills: 507 Manager: daftkrft 17) Kamil Speedowski (SSR): 1168 (1369) ![]() Age: 31 Rating: 3,662.734 (3,575.400+87.334) WR: 38 NR: 4 Trained skills: 429 Manager: KamcioXD 18) Bretislav Zatacka (Jordan): 1164 (1464) ![]() Age: 27 Rating: 4,310.466 (4,202.812+107.654) WR: 18 NR: 2 Trained skills: 524 Manager: FBednar 19) Alexandre De Montferrand (RBR): 1147 (1435) ![]() Age: 27 Rating: 4,400.859 (4,303.625+97.233) WR: 16 NR: 3 Trained skills: 495 Manager: Promocourse 20) Rudi Bremser (LKR): 1147 (1366) ![]() Age: 29 Rating: 1,040.963 (980.889+60.074) WR: 368 NR: 8 Trained skills: 426 Manager: Rudi08 21) Rui B. McLaren seems to be the team with the best set of drivers and they still have some seasons left to improve although it's safe to say they won't be getting much better than what they are now. OMR has a great driver first driver but Lamy falls short skill-wise although shows great potential. Williams is a bit more consistent with 2 drivers on the back of top10. The surprise driver goes to Dominik Dán from Ferrari which has a very impressive set of skills specially considering the rating of the team. The best driver is without a doubt Paolo Grandi but without a matching car it's clear all that skill is, on the current season, being wasted. The same team has now a retired driver rendering the team virtually nonexistent in races. At least Rocco Rapido, Guido di Rado and Novikov seem to be in range of Grandi's skill, although there are others who will probably get there too these will most likely be the next 3 top drivers using this analysis. Mind you driving and mental skills take considerably more time to train than any other skill, so having those 2 general skills well trained is literally half way through to max out every skill. In that regard, considering their age, Grosjean Jr and Lamy might be able to get there as well. It's also curious to see many top teams swapping their long term drivers for younger prospects such as RB, Jordan and OMR. Special thanks to Promocourse for having the idea to do this even though it needed some tweaks.

F1 Season 65 Review: Winners and Disappointments
25.05.2026
-
<div align="justify&... this season review, “Winners” are drivers and teams who, in my opinion, exceeded expectations, while “Disappointments” are those who underperformed relative to their budget, potential, or pre-season projections. These labels should not be interpreted as definitive judgments on a driver’s or team’s overall quality, talent, or long-term ability. A “Disappointment” designation can simply reflect a difficult stretch of results caused by mistakes, mechanical failures, ...

Pegaso, Spain's Formula One Team, is about to start its seventh year in My Racing Career in a position it has never been in before. With a revitalised economy, thanks in large part to revenues that have grown by more than 40% over the last ten seasons, the Flying Horse can now afford to invest substantially in the current season's car or successfully combine two highly challenging projects, such as the chassis and gearbox.
None of this would have been possible without a risky gamble on the ev...
