Underdog Rookie Team Under Siege

18.09.2015 - Baptism under fire for rookie wheeler Janus Valerius has definitely taken the the starlight out of the young man's eyes. His rookie manager, Howard Homan has taken some knocks too. Overreaching has been a constant in the team, but the pair have guts and are sticking it out.

"Janus has done a great job on the open segments of the tracks and really shines in most of the qualifiers. we just seem to be drawing other drivers like a magnet during their overtakings and our own." There is no truer remark. The kid has had more DNF than a bowl of alphabet soup. The rookie series Has not seen his best work. He has had moments of glory in the local races though.

Howard Homan said he blames himself, because he took too much of the budget for the pit and not enough on his driver's training. with a round of layoffs, the high profile pit emptied and the team has added another high Quality sponsor and is turning things around.

Janus has managed a Fastest Recorded Lap against his peers. So all is not lost. There is room to improve for certain. With the reset though, things may turn out ok, even if only as an educational season. Janus is young and actually has a good grasp for reading the machine, so he just needs to take that sense beyond his own wheels and into the arena around his ride to make a great blend of man and machine in the future!
