On reading this release from AndySmokie the Audi Motorsports owners were offended and outraged. This behaviour from a team at the pinnacle of our sport is disgraceful.From viewing the auction it appears that an existing Senna owner out bid an otherwise successful bidder to prevent him from entering the team. The reason that was given to Andy Smokie? He isn't polish..... Really? This tarnishes the whole F1 community. However not all teams are as xenophobic as this. To show its outrage at these events the Audi Motorsports team would like to offer AndySmokie 1% of the team for free. Audi has never had a need to auction shares as its ownership is in such high demand however we feel in this instance a stand had to be taken. We will welcome AndySmokie to the team no matter his nationality.

From my understanding of the auction rules anyone can bet right? SSR is based in Poland, all their owners are Polish, it's understandable that they want to keep it that way. Call it tradition or whatever, they didn't outright reject his bet they just...
