A new up and coming Indonesian Driver?

Ryan Manggala, an 18-year-old Indonesian driver, currently competing in the F4 British Championship, where he holds 16th place overall in the standings currently. A promising talent in the world of motorsport, Ryan began karting at an early age in his hometown in Indonesia before advancing to single-seaters. Known for his determination and technical skill behind the wheel, Ryan is steadily making his mark on the competitive landscape of junior formula racing.

This season has been a learning curve for the young driver as he faces tough competition from a field of seasoned racers. Despite the challenges, Ryan has shown flashes of brilliance, with standout performances in Private Series such as Poland Cup VII (U21) sitting 12th in the standing respectively. His current goal is to get to grips with the F4 car, be competitive, and be a better driver in general. He plans to pave his own way for a potential step up into the F3 Regional Series. 

"Currently the plan is to get grips with the car, try to feel it, try to be competitive with it, participate in races as much as possible, increase my racing experience." said the young Indonesian. "My plan is obviously to reach F1, I think that is every driver's dream. But currently we are a way of from reaching that goal. I have to prove to everyone that I'm quick, I'm consistent, and I'm an excellent driver." Off the track, Ryan is dedicated to fitness training and analyzing race data to refine his performance. He hopes to serve as an inspiration to young Indonesian motorsport enthusiasts, representing his country on an international stage and showcasing the growing talent pool in Southeast Asia.

We asked his manager, for a few questions regarding Ryan's present and future plans, "Currently our plan for him is to make him comfortable in the car and see what the future holds. I won't let him jump into a much faster car, like the F3 or F2 car if I think he's not ready. Obviously, there will be pressure for him, from almost everyone. He has to dealt with that. He is still young, still reckless, but I believe in him."
