Cheers and Teras at The new Hampshire 300

19.02.2018 - There was Much drama for at least one team at The New Hampshire 300 Gold Cup race today..

Aaron Foyt grandson of the Legendary A.J. Foyt took the lead on laps 61 after Domi Ochs the early leader for 61 laps pitted.. Foyt help that lead for just 4 more laps and pitted on lap 65.

On Lap 100 Ochs was once again leading but behind him was Foyt shaving off hundred of seconds each lap.. Foyt fans and team was getting excited.. Could this be the race Foyt only top 100 racer without season series win find victory lane?

Lap 181 Ochs pits and Foyt pit under caution with Ochs leading by 3 second.. They come out of the pits 1 and 2 Ochs still leading..

Lap 204 Ochs makes a mistake blocking Foyt skidding in middle of turn 2 .. Foyt hits the gas blows by Och's and never looks back..

Foyt on lap 240 his final pit giving Briand the lead. the team scramble and wonder does Briand have enough fuel to finish?

On Lap 253 that question is answered as Briand has to pit and again Foyt takes the lead.. Ochs is in second some 9 seconds back..

Lap 283 saw the final caution of the race.. Foyt and Ochs dueling for the win.. But Foyt pulls away from Och with better tires.. The Crowd is roaring until lap 400 when place grew silent the Foyt fans nervous watch Foyt roar around turns 1 and 2.. They held their breath in backstretch .. Where on lap 400 at Charlote in back stretch Foyt Chevy engine blew blowing oil on track black flagging him forcing him to pit instead of finishing the race.. As Foyt Came out of turn 4 2 seconds ahead of och past pit entrance the Crowd erupted! Foyt Took the checkered Flag .. The crowd was dancing the Foyt team was dancing as Foyt took his Victory lap for the first Time since his rookie season in a season series!

On the Podium there was Cheers in crowd and Tears in Both Foyt's and the Owners eyes.. The Owner turned and Look at Foyt said I made your Race the best because I Knew you could beat the best! Foyt said I am sorry to the owner my team and my Fans for making yall wait so long!

Foyt was awarded a contract extension for 6 more season and Good wrench extended their sponsorship of whatever Car Foyt drives until retirement! I know I hope this is not the last season series win... Foyt is getting Hot at the right time at 28 years Old!
