Hello everyone. A bit later than expected, but here is your MRC News article of season 60 explaining what is coming to the game in the next few months. Without further ado, let's get started!


THE NEW ANDROID APP IS HERE

As we anticipated in last season's changes article, we have been developing a mobile app for Android devices so you can play the game on smartphones and tablets. We expected to release it in a beta testing phase during Season 60, but we faced some problems with Facebook and Google login integration, and ultimately decided to restart the project. During last week, we achieved record progress, and we have our first functional version ready for you to use.

The app is very simple at the moment, but we expect to add some features that will make playing MRC on the go a unique experience. We know lots of you are playing the game from iOS devices, but that operating system is quite hard to develop for, so even if we can port the app there as well, you will have to wait a bit more.

To give you more details about the project, here is a message from our mobile app developer, DanielParr:

"Hey everyone, currently I've been working on getting the core of the app working and to a playable state, which it is now. If you find any bugs or need any help, just @igdaniel. in the Discord server or post in the worldwide forums under "Mobile Version: Ideas or Bug"

Our next stage with the app is developing a working notification system so that you can keep on top of your drivers and the upcoming races, basically so that you don't miss out on anything important.

REVIEWING MY RACING CAREER

Taking into account the limited resources we have to reach wider audiences, and even if the Google Play app will help, alongside DebiK, we have agreed to initiate a new reward programme for MRC users. This will consist of you reviewing the game on different Internet websites. The main target of this is generating traffic to the game, which means more players and, in general, more activity. Having the game reviewed online will also allow us to create a Wikipedia page or ask motorsport magazines/newspapers to review it as well. Basically, it should help to establish MRC's reputation on the World Wide Web.

Contrary to what you might think if you read until this point, we don't want you to drop 5 stars everywhere and ask for your reward. We want you to write honest reviews, in which you say the good and the bad things about playing MRC. What is unique and what we are lacking compared to other games of the genre, or compared to what would be your ideal MRC-style game. The criteria we are following to give the rewards are the following:

- Base review = 10 coins
- Honest review = +5 coins
- Detailed = +10 coins
- Containing pros and cons = +10 coins
- Containing suggestions = +10 coins
- Posting it on several websites = +5 coins
- Reviewing the game in Google Play Store = +25 coins

Once you have prepared and published your reviews, we want you to write an email to socialpromotionmrc@gmail.com, where you will let us know your MRC user, and link us to all the pages where you've written a review. Then, they will be checked by the MRC Promotion Team and, if everything is correct, you will receive your coins. In terms of what you can expect from us, we will be quite flexible with everyone who takes this seriously and wants to help the game. AI-generated reviews will not be rewarded. It is enough to write only one review, then post it on several websites.

DEVELOPMENT UPDATES

In terms of game development, we have made some progress with the new sponsor system, and its functionality will be tested throughout season 61, for full implementation in season 62. We can't give you any extra information at the moment, so we hope you can be patient for a little bit more time.

Nonetheless, something that will be ready during season 61 is our new interactive tutorials. There will be four tutorials to begin with, while a fifth one will be added once the new sponsor system is ready:

- Driving style
- How to join a race and setup for it
- Season series, custom series, private series, Nations Cup
- Driver training, employee signing
- Finances and sponsors

Regarding our Design Challenge competitions, we have decided that, from now on, the June edition will be replaced by a new edition of Create-A-Track, after the last one was held in season 55. It will be announced on June 1st and will last for the whole month.

Finally, we want to address the matter of new, growing communities. During seasons 59 and 60, we have created three new National Motorsport Associations. This means Chinese, Colombian and Mexican managers are now represented in Nations Cup. As soon as we start getting active managers from more countries all around the world, we will keep adding new NMAs and new series for them. So if you are one of the very few managers of your country in MRC, we encourage you to look for more people and create a proper community, just as others have done lately :D


MINOR CHANGES
- Chinese F4 series has been created. It will be managed by the Chinese NMA, just as the rest of national F4 series.
- CART series calendar has been changed. It reflects a mix of the 1995, 1996, 1997, and 1998 editions, as well as including the Indy 500.
- V8 Supercars models have been updated (thanks to Boczy).
