Porsche´s Kenny Wirdheim on F1, Future and Present

23.08.2019 - Q: So Kenny - 28 yrs old is it time for F1 now?
A: Nahh we are probably in 3-4 seasons from making that happen, Right now happy in GT looking to clinch 5th position
Unless the unmentionable happen at last race, Fingers crossed :)

Q: What F1 teams are you in talk with for a drive then?
A: For now it´s only Porsche, I am in their Junior programme. I hope the drive will realize for Porsche
but that all comes down to opportunity and timing.
If timing is not right i think i have good chances to get into a lower team in wait for an opening in Porsche.

Q:Second Season in GT for you - are you satisfied with your progression? and whats in stall for upcoming season?
Will you reamin for a 3rd consequtive season?

A: Let me start by saying this is the best series i have driven so far in My Race Career.
1st season was a bit of a shock, A lot of tyres but still needs a lot of tyre management with some races
being 6H long, A perfect mix of Middle long races to Long and then the Ultra Long Endurance races.

Started then 2nd season ranked as 7th and currently holding position 5th, 1 race still to go
but solid 25 points ahead of Conrad so only a horryfying miracle which i dont see happening
would put me out of that position that was also the goal for this season - Mission accomplished! :)

I doubt there will be a 3rd consecutive season, the competition for this season gets tougher each season
more ppl are drawn into GT i am once again ranked 7th dispite my huge elevation in ranking over the season
So i dont see where the gain would be to stay on this time.
Instead i look to perhaps get into a single seater again, Looking towards America and Indy

Q: aha :), You did 1 season in Indy Lights so are we seing you go back there to fight for the title?

A: No, I will not goto Indy Lights it will for sure be a series with at least 2,0 in rankings
So if America Indycar or i might go for really any other 2,0 rank series but not Nascar for now.
All needs to come together with sponsors and such.
I will have a drive for next season just unsure where for now, Watch my tweets for clues..... ;)
