[F1] WAR IS A TANK WITHOUT TANKING. HEADING INTO S27!

13.03.2018 - Season 26 mirrored the previous one in terms of results for WAR. To the F1 record will go a 7th place in the Constructors Championship (same as season 26), with 167 points scored. Miervaldis Kauss scored 55 (1 podium), for a 14th place overall while Peter Pan Jr scored 112 points (2 podiums), for a 9th place overall.

While in the final race of the season we failed to surprise BMW by a couple points, thanks to this final push, we actually beat last season's points tally by a point. We also set a new team record with our 9 top 5 finishes, better than the 7 we got the season before. So the F1 records won't show all the improvement WAR actually achieved, specially because our car wasn't that strong in comparison with our competitors.

We wrap season 26 with the feeling of a job well done and look forward to the next one. Season after season, WAR proves itself as a reliable team, always competing for the best results possible and managing yet to avoid tanking. Our climb to the 4th place overall in rating rewards the effort of our management. We do not claim to say we will never tank a season but we are really proud to have avoided it so far.



SEASON 27

The big announcement we have for next season is in the Chassis: we're tackling S27 with a downforce focus. After a few seasons in the Top Speed pack, we've made the decision to return to downforce. We're positive it will prove a good strategy and we hope to keep breaking the team's total points record. Miervaldis Kauss will continue to drive for WAR and we're placing our bets in season 27 as his breakout season. Peter Pan Jr leaves WAR and is replaced by former Mercedes AMG F1 driver Paul Dover. We are most thankful to Pan Jr for the 3 seasons spent with us, during which he achieved 32 top10 finishes, 12 top5, 4 podiums and 1 win. He was one of our most successful drivers and set a good example for Dover to match.

We will also continue to run our WAR Fan Championship and WAR Super Cup. As for the Voting Points Contest, we have to announce it will take a break Season 28. So, we will have the Contest during this current season (S27), but it will be the last time we run it, at least under this format. It's time for a break and, eventually, to rethink a new, better future version of "Voting Points Contest".
