Supercars series start of season analysis

First three weeks of this season is almost done and once again Supercars series have provided entertainment for managers with it's close standings and interesting races. Let's take a quick look how the things are in the standings right now for the top6. LEADER Mikael Salo (Finland) 1066 points Manager: Petu_ Team: "S45 Champ Volvo Polestar"  Mikael has been surprisingly steady at the start of the season finishing 10 out of 10 races in podium. Salo has already gotten strong candidacy to championship. Amazingly though, he has not gotten very much pole positions so far. He has benefitted mostly on other drivers eating points from one another. Very fast and dangerous driver with his Volvo. Wins: 3 Podiums: 10 Top5: 10 Top10: 10 Poles: 1 Fastest laps: 3 Most laps lead /race: 1 Most likely ending position this season: 1, unlikely in the 3rd place without rough luck, can fall down to 2nd position easily... 2nd Jyrki Järvilehto Lehto Jr (Finland) 1039 points Manager: Sir_ErikSalama Team: "Holden Title Dream"  If Mikael was surprising, you should probably sit down right now... because this rookie just keeps Surprising with the capital "S". Lehto has been impressingly balanced for his age. His tendency to get good qualifying result has been admired by the old dogs this season and this has made him serious candidate for possibly stealing championship this season. Makes some mistakes obviously due to his young age, but nothing serious. Cannot keep the pace in race so far. Jyrki will most likely be one of the future Supercars champions. Wins: 2 Podiums: 8 Top5: 10 Top10: 10 Poles: 3 Fastest laps: 0 Most laps lead /race: 3 Most likely ending position this season: 3, Can still fall down the standings with some bad races, but likely will stay in top3 this season. Has over achieved a little bit. 3rd Paul Carlotti (France) 984 points Manager: Sogwil Team: "#72 Le Mans Afa Compétition"  Probably most expected Carlotti would dominate the series being champion in series such as World GT Series & NASC Gold Cup Series, but seems to not have redeemed those expectations yet. Is a solid driver that is really hard to overtake (especially in supercars where there basically is only 2 ways to overtake). Has taken the most wins but not in the right races. Most likely will try to attack in second third of season to try and close the gap to 1st position and possibly take it if given chance. Has started rather poorly. Wins: 4 Podiums: 8 Top5: 9 Top10: 9 Poles: 5 Fastest laps: 1 Most laps lead /race: 5 Most likely ending position this season: 2, Can still improve and if he will he has chance to win this series. Has strongest skills in paper. 4th Mickey Sheahan (Australia) 819 points Manager: Mickoz57 Team: "V8AA"  Mickey is odd one. Can really be fast as a lightning but you never know what you can expect of him. Keeps surprising rivals with impressive qualifying times and occasionally drives really hard in races too stirring the championship pot. Tends to go with odd strategy that can either be winner or lose it all. Really fast in races. Wins: 1 Podiums: 1 Top5: 7 Top10: 9 Poles: 1 Fastest laps: 4 Most laps lead /race: 1 Most likely ending position this season: 6, being hard to predict I call him to be probable dropper in the standings. Can potentially cause havoc to championship contenders but does not do it day to day. 5th Pertti Räikkönen (Finland) 814 points Manager: Skinny Team: "Peran Moottoriurheilu Yritys"  The reigning 2 times Supercars champion Pertti Räikkönen's season has not started particularly well, he fell down in techique a lot during off season. Probably will improve towards end of this season because he can't really underachieve much more. I wish better luck for the champ. Merely a shadow from last seasons triumphs. Wins: 0 Podiums: 3 Top5: 8 Top10: 8 Poles: 0 Fastest laps: 1 Most laps lead /race: 0 Most likely ending position this season: 4, When he figures out how to improve, he will most likely do so. Can still potentially win the championship, but needs a little help from other candidates to do so...And perfect success in both endurance races. 6th Oiva Haveri (Finland) 798 points Manager: lappa Team: "Crashed Team Racing"  Oiva has lot of potential. He seems to be increasingly fast occasionally flashing incredible speed. Has still lot to learn but he is going the right track and with little more experience could be title driver. Haveri is the Joker card I will predict will end up in top 5 this season and possibly reach his first GP win too. Wins: 0 Podiums: 0 Top5: 5 Top10: 10 Poles: 0 Fastest laps: 1 Most laps lead /race: 0 Most likely ending position this season: 5, Nothing to add to, will probably be 5th this season. It is a good position for him. We will see how things will go in 2nd third of the season. Hopefully we will see plenty of surprises if and when I do the next release. Don't take this too seriously as I made it for fun and also to take a look of these cool car paintings drivers in serie have! I tried to roast each of the top 6 equally. Thanks for reading this!
